Mumbo Gumbo performs for Angora animal benefit
Murphy’s Irish Pub and the Rockwater Restaurant will host an Angora Fire Animal Relief Benefit Concert featuring Mumbo Gumbo on Saturday. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert is from 7:30 to 10 p.m.
The event will take place in the patio and garden at Murphy’s Pub, 787 Emerald Bay Road, Highway 89, across from 7-Eleven. Along with great music there will be a raffle, barbecue and drink specials. Entry is a $10 donation per family or individual. Children will be admitted free of charge if accompanied by an adult.
All proceeds from the door and food sales will benefit the Emergency Response Partnership of El Dorado County Animal Control and Lake Tahoe Humane Society and S.P.C.A. to help care for injured or displaced pets from the fire.
Mumbo Gumbo music is a unique blend of New Orleans style Rhythm & Blues, James Brown inspired funk, edgy blues rock, Afro-Cuban trance singalongs and congo-line-inspiring rhumbas. They have been awarded the prestigious Sammie Award numerous times and will surely rock the night for this important event. Come and enjoy a fantastic evening of amazing food, great drinks and rockin’ music!
