The acclaimed family foursome of Greg, Ida, Eddy and Rose Mazmanian bring their passion, flair and fine musicianship to the Valhalla Arts and Music Festival at 7:30 p.m. today in the Valhalla Boathouse Theater.

Their highly stylized performances of classical, folk and gypsy music led the San Francisco Chronicle to call them “delightful, charming, flashy and charismatic.”

Father and violinist Greg is a Julliard graduate who has performed as a soloist in the United States, Canada and Asia, played as a member of the San Francisco Symphony, Opera and Ballet orchestras, and as a backup artist for Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles and Tony Bennett.

Son Eddy and daughter Rose are both accomplished musicians in their own right.

Sister Ida is an award-winning pianist who has taught keyboard since she was 12.

Together, the family ensemble plays with an uninhibited passion that carries an audience away, with a repertoire that ranges from Armenian, Spanish and Gypsy folk music to classics such as Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.

Tickets for The Mazmanians in concert are $14 in advance or $16 at the door. Reservations can be made at (530) 541-4975.
