The Tahoe Rim Trail Association will kick off its winter season and celebration of National Winter Trails Day on Jan. 9 at the Tahoe Meadows trail from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Tahoe Meadows trailhead is located one half-mile southwest of the Mt. Rose summit on Highway 431.
