Editor’s note: The following provides a view of South Lake Tahoe property values from one neighborhood to the next. A story in Thursday’s Tahoe Daily Tribune reported a recent cooling in the real estate market over the last couple of months, while coming off a 26 percent increase in the single family homes sold from 2004 to 2005.

— Median listing price of a single family home: $549,450 (as of March 8, 2006)

— Average days on the market: 94

— Total listings: 273

— Median price of homes sold in 2005: $475,000 (up 26 percent from prior year)
