Nevada Day Celebration 2007 kicks off Friday, marking the 143rd year of statehood for the Silver State and the 69th year for Saturday’s Nevada Day Parade.

“Mysteries of Nevada — AREA 51” is this year’s Nevada Day theme. The following is the events list for Friday through Sunday.

RSVP Nevada Days Celebration and Carnival

Mills Park,

4 p.m. to midnight Thursday, noon to midnight Friday and Saturday, noon to 10 p.m. Sunday.

Nevada Pow Wow

Carson Colony gym, 2900 S. Curry St., Carson City.

Free dinner at 5 p.m. Saturday; event runs Friday through Sunday.

Minting of the V&T Railway Coin

Nevada Day Battle Born Golf Tournament

Fireworks Extravaganza and Party
