Nevada governor releases staff salaries
CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) – Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval is releasing the salaries of the 16 staffers in his office.
Chief of Staff Heidi Gansert will earn just under $125,000. Dale Erquiaga (er-gee-AH-gah), senior adviser and communications director, will make about $120,000.
The salary for press secretary Mary-Sarah Kinner will be about $75,000.
Sandoval’s office released the salaries Monday. The amounts are before factoring a 4.6 percent reduction – the amount state workers lost in 2009 when required to take a day off each month without pay.
The governor’s salary is $141,000. Sandoval said he would forgo an $8,500 pay raise and take the 4.6 percent furlough cut.
