Nevada State Fair looking for volunteers

The Nevada State Fair is looking for volunteers to help plan and implement this year’s event, which will take place Aug. 22 through 26 at the Reno Livestock Events Center. Except for office and administrative help, the State Fair is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization and some 500 volunteers are needed. Fair staff will need volunteer help in the office right in July and August, right before the fair.

Volunteers get free admission tickets the fair, with additional passes depending on how any hours they volunteer, and an invitation to the fair’s traditional Volunteer Appreciation dinner in September.

To obtain a volunteer application stop by the State Fair office at 1350-A North Wells in Reno, call (775) 688-5767 or e-mail nvstatefair@inetworld.com.
