Nevada State Parks announce that parks will remain open

Nevada State Parks has announed that all 23 of its parks are not affected by the government shutdown and will remain open for all scheduled events.

Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park area that will remain open include Sand Harbor, Spooner Backcountry and Cave Rock.

Campgrounds are open throughout the winter months and showers are available at locations with heated facilities. For more information visit parks.nv.gov.
