SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The annual holiday pet community get-together and benefit for local animals in need celebrates 25 years on Dec. 3.

Tahoe’s Santa Paws character and helpers will be at a new location, the city Recreation Center at 1180 Rufus Allan Blvd.

In addition to photos with Santa Paws, there will be holiday gift items for sale. Jacki Wright of Jacki’s Mobile Cat and Dog Grooming will be on hand to trim nails, donating all proceeds to the Lake Tahoe Humane Society and S.P.C.A. The photo fee of $20 includes a raffle ticket for prizes including a Freshies July 4th Deck Party Pass for two, a $500 value. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased on site.

Bows and antlers are provided for photos if desired. Participants receive a CD which can be taken to a photo service or used to make cards and prints on a home computer. Cash or check only can be accepted. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Come to the main entrance of the recreation center and head for the Aspen Room. All pets must be in carriers or on leash. Be prepared to clean up after your pet if necessary.
