New manager appointed for banking group

Tom Wood has been promoted to manager of the Reno/Sparks Business Banking Group at Wells Fargo Bank Nevada. Wood will manage a department that serves the financial needs of small- to medium-size businesses in Reno, Sparks, Fernley and Truckee.
A banker for 15 years, Wood joined Wells Fargo in 1988. His last assignment involved a business banking role in the Reno-Sparks area.
In other promotions at Wells Fargo, Tammy Cruz has been named a district manager,t managing five community bank branches in Battle Mountain, Elko, Lovelock and Winnemucca.
Cruz brings 22 years of experience in the financial services industry to her new job. She’s worked for Wells Fargo since 1981.
Julie Horn was appointed by Benchmark Hospitality, which manages the Resort at Squaw Creek, as director of human resources.
Horn most recently worked in the same capacity at Embassy Suites in South Lake Tahoe.
