New Mastersounds ‘Plug & Play’ at Tahoe Biltmore

Giant Panda Guerrilla Dub Squad opens for New Mastersounds at the Tahoe Biltmore on Saturday, March 14.

The New Mastersounds’ tour in support of their new album, “Plug & Play,” will stop Saturday, March 14, at Tahoe Biltmore in Crystal Bay.

The English funk band released its new album March 3 on One Note Records/Fontana and began its tour in San Diego. The tour will cover 15 cities ” including Crystal Bay ” before wrapping up at the Gothic Theater in Denver.

The New Mastersounds feature Hammond organist Joe Tatton, Pete Shand on bass and drummer Simon Allen behind guitarist Eddie Roberts. “Plug & Play” features Roberts’ production on forays into subgenres such as psychedelic afro-funk and soul jazz as well as vocals by Dionne Charles.

The opener for Saturday’s show is the roots reggae outfit Giant Panda Guerrilla Dub Squad.
