SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – There’s a new face in the Tribune’s newsroom – sports editor Douglas Etten.

Etten joins the Tribune from Minocqua, Wis., where he was the sports editor at the The Lakeland Times. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin.

“Doug’s experience, leadership, commanding personality and passion for quality sports journalism made him the top pick in our search,” said Tribune Publisher Kimberly Kuntz. “We’re excited to have him join the team.”

Covering local athletics will be Etten’s top priority at the Tribune. He can be reached at or 530-542-8010.

The community is invited to meet Etten at an open house from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Monday, May 2, at the Tribune’s offices at 3079 Harrison Ave.
