TRCD announces new district manager

On Sunday, the Tahoe Resource Conservation District announced that Dave Roberts would be its new district manager.

The state agency focuses on natural resource protection on the California side of the Lake Tahoe Basin.

Roberts has worked on environmental issues in the Tahoe Basin since 1995, including the last six years on the Lake Tahoe Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) program at the Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board.

He graduated from Chapman University with a degree in business administration and Humboldt State University with degrees in biology and botany.

Roberts’ appointment follows the retirement of Tim Oliver, who served as the conservation districts manager for seven years.
