Nita Nicotera

Memorial services will take place Jan. 25 for Nita (Turner) Nicotera, who died Jan. 13, 2006, at Kit Carson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jackson, Calif. She was 81.

Nita was born Oct. 26, 1924, in San Francisco. She had been a resident of South Lake Tahoe for 35 years. She lived in Merced, Calif., since 2001 and Jackson the past year. She was a bookkeeper for 40 years.

She is survived by her stepdaughter, Phyllis Pitchford of Atwater, Calif.; niece, Cecile Kaiser of Arnold, Calif.; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.



Memorial services will take place at The Hampshire, 3460 R Street, Merced, Calif. Private inurnment will follow.
