No decision on Lakeview Commons
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The South Lake Tahoe City Council was unable to reach a settlement agreement regarding the stalled Lakeview Commons project at El Dorado Beach during their regular meeting Tuesday.
The city has proposed a settlement to Roseville contractor Reeve-Knight Construction, but has yet to receive a response, City Attorney Patrick Enright said Tuesday.
North Highlands contractor Clark & Sullivan and the Carpenters Work Preservation Committee successfully challenged the city’s awarding of the project’s construction contract to Reeve-Knight in August. Work on the project stalled Sept. 1 following the legal challenge.
A revised settlement agreement would include Reeve Knight receiving $142,500 for work completed on the project, Enright said.
Enright said he hopes to have the matter resolved during the council’s next meeting Feb. 8.
