Alleged murderer Ulysses Roberson’s petitions to fight his extradition from Washington state ended Monday in El Dorado County Superior Court.
Roberson is charged with murdering his 4-year-old son in 1986. Authorities haven’t found the body of Alexander Olive but believe there is enough evidence to prosecute Roberson.
Roberson was serving a rape by intoxicating substance sentence in a Washington prison. The long process of bringing Roberson to South Lake Tahoe ended in July.
El Dorado County Assistant District Attorney Hans Uthe said it will take about a month before Roberson’s preliminary hearing is scheduled. Uthe and Deputy Public Defender Kenneth Bonham will use the time to make sure all evidence, including 2,100 documents, is shared.
