A funeral Mass will be celebrated March 29 at Concord, Calif., and graveside services will take place March 31 at Happy Homestead Cemetery for Alice M. Tate, who died March 23, 2003. She was 84.
Mrs. Tate was born April 24,1918. A resident of Concord, she had lived at South Lake Tahoe from 1961 to 1971, and Carson City, Nev., from 1971 to 1988.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Tullie and Jim Costa and Maura and Steve Zigler; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Janae Tate; brothers, Sherman, Emil and Ron Olson; sister, Joan Baker; grandchildren, Mary Linney, Cathy Lee, Lory Costa Willette, Terry Linney, Jason and Joshua Boldt, Zachary and Zeb Tate; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Tate; sons, Jimmy and Kenny Tate; and sister, Eveline Blurton.
Visitation will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. vigil service March 28 at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel, 2125 Clayton Road, Concord. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. March 29 at St. Bonaventure’s Church, 5562 Clayton Road in Concord and a graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. March 31 at Happy Homestead Cemetery, South Lake Tahoe.
