Obit — Bette Lou Cossette

Bette Lou Cossette died Oct. 16, 2002, at Washoe Medical Center in Reno, Nev. She was 76.

Mrs. Cossette was born May 9, 1926, at Marshalltown, Iowa, to Charles and Louisa Hollom. She had been a resident of South Lake Tahoe before moving to Carson City, Nev., 15 years ago. She had worked as a waitress in the South Shore Room at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe for 30 years.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Blaine and Sue Hansen of Minden, Nev.; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Barry Oaks of Woodbridge, Calif., and Kimberly and Dennis Long of Gardnerville, Nev.; daughter, Michelle Cossette of Carson City; grandchildren, Kevin, Shawn, Anna, Erik, Landrin, Kenzy Danny and Kelli’ and great-grandchildren, Shawn Jr., Bradley and Taylor. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Cecil Cossette.



Arrangements are by FitzHenry’s Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville, Nev.
