Obit — Betty Claire Caine

At her request no services are planned for Betty Claire Caine, who died Dec. 5, 2002, following an eight-year struggle with cancer. She was 72.

Mrs. Caine was born Oct. 27, 1930, at Los Angeles, Calif. She has been a resident of South Lake TAhoe since 1963, where she met her husband, Ernie. She was loved by so many people in her lifetime and had a great love for all animals. She fought bravely and with the dignity and grace that was an inspiration to everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ernie Caine of South Lake Tahoe; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Brad; grandchildren, Miriah and Austin; sisters, Jane, Edith and Doris; brother, Hank; and her dogs, Daugherty and Hershey; three women that she considered her other daughters, Lisa, Barbara and Debra; and her friend of many years, Chris. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara and Ken; brothers, George, Gordon and Russell; and sister, Florence



In lieu of flowers remembrances may be sent to Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care, 1483 Cherry Hills Circle, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150 or to Hospice of the Lake, 2092 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150.
