Tahoe Daily Tribune

Brandon Richard Lowder, “Bah-Ba”, to his brother and sister, “BL and B-dog” to friends, passed away in South Lake Tahoe on March 23, 2003.

He was a son, brother, companion and friend to many, beloved by all who knew him.

Born in San Francisco on Aug. 7, 1972, he had a beautiful and magnanimous spirit, which uplifted all around him. Mr. Lowder maintained a positive and contagious energy, along with a heart of gold and shining glimmer in his eye. Words cannot describe the joy he brought so often, to so many. He did not grieve that others did not know him, but he grieved that he did not know others. His gregarious and genuine personality would shock a stranger because his attitude would suggest they had been life-long friends.

His life’s journey was an adventure unmatched. He was a patriot to his country and a proud member of the Reno IBEW Local 401 Electricians Union. The tragic loss of Mr. Lowder has left an emptiness in all our hearts; the world is a dimmer place without him.

He is survived by his mother, Vicky Morse and her husband, Dion; stepsisters Katy and Suzie; father Richard W. Lowder of San Antonio; brother Kurt A. Lowder of Lafayette; sister, Tamara E. Lowder of San Antonio; stepmother Georgia L. Lowder of Lancaster, Calif.; uncle Don J. Lowder of Lancaster, Calif.; Ernest M. and Sharie Lowder of Riverside, Calif., and companion Karen Kotz of South Lake Tahoe.

A celebration and memorial will be March 29, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Regan Beach, corner of Lakeview and Fresno avenues. A reception will follow at the Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd., ending at 3 p.m.
