Obit — Candace D. Johnson

Memorial services will take place Jan. 17 for Candace D. Johnson, who died Jan. 14, 2002, at Barton Memorial Hospital. She was 63.

Born Dec. 12, 1939, in Missouri, she was a 13-year resident of South Lake Tahoe. She had been a barista at Starbucks Coffee in Safeway for the past 2 1/2 years. Previously she was employed by Lake Tahoe Accommodations for seven years. She enjoyed needle point and crocheting.

Survivors include her daughter, Catherine Tyler of Gardnerville, Nev.; brother, Henry Taylor of Sandy Valley, Nev.; sister, Ann Graham of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandsons, Joshua Nugent, Caleb Nugent, Zachary Nugent and Cody Thoma; and great-grandson, Joshua R. Nugent Jr.



Memorial services will begin at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3460 Spruce Ave.

Arrangements are by McFarlane Mortuary.
