Obit — Douglas Eugene Wedin

In lieu of funeral services an open house will take place Dec. 13 for Douglas Eugene Wedin, who died Dec. 7, 2002 at Stateline, Nev. He was 82.

Mr. Wedin was born Sept. 22, 1920, at Grantsburg, Wis., to Emil J. and Ruth (Quarfoot) Wedin. He graduated from high school and attended several trade schools. He was a member of the U.S. Army Air Force and served in World War II. Mr. Wedin was supervisor of engine repair at American Airlines for 34 1/2 years, before he retired in 1981 and moved to Lake Tahoe.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary L. Wedin of Stateline; sons, Randall E. Wedin of Tulsa, Okla., and Mickey Davis of Claremore, Okla.; daughter, Laurie Wedin of Stateline; and grandson, Erik Wedin of Houston, Texas. He was predeceased by his father and mother, and brother, Royal.



In lieu of funeral services there will be an open house from 2 to 6 p.m. Dec. 13 at the family home, 155A Kahle, Drive, Stateline.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Lake.
