Obit – Gale Belton Stanley

At his request no services are planned for Gale Belton Stanley, who died Jan. 11, 2003, at Barton Memorial Hospital. He was 82.

Mr. Stanley was born May 4, 1920, in New Jersey, and was a 35-year resident of South Lake Tahoe. He was a veteran of World War II and served with the U.S. Army Air Corps. Mr. Stanley was housekeeping supervisor at the Lake Tahoe Inn for 14 years before his retirement. He had previously worked in housekeeping at Lakeland Village. He loved to watch football, baseball and tennis.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Victoria Stanley of South Lake Tahoe; son and daughter-in-law, Jorey and Ahollie Ortiz of South Lake Tahoe; daughter, Myrna S. Ortiz of San Diego, Calif.; brother, Bob Stanley of Colorado; and seven grandchildren.
