Obit — Ginger Rianda Roos

Memorial services will take place Dec. 14 for Ginger Rianda Roos, who died Dec. 8, 2002, at Kaiser Hospital, Honolulu, Hawaii, following a short illness. She was 51.

Mrs. Roos was born Oct. 11, 1951, at Salinas, Calif., and graduated from Salinas High School in 1969. She moved to South Lake Tahoe in 1984 and worked as a photographer for the South Lake Tahoe Board of Realtors MLS and as an inspector at the California Agricultural Station in Meyers. She moved to Kona, Hawaii, in 1997, where she worked as a plant protection technician for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt.

She is survived by her husband, Derik Roos of Kona; parents, Vernice and Allen Rianda of South Lake Tahoe; daughters, Shayna Dorris of Honolulu and Meghan Dorris of San Diego, Calif.; sister, Linda Rianda of Sutter Creek, Calif.; and sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Bob Novasel of South Lake Tahoe. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Rianda.

Visitation and memorial services will take place Dec. 14 at the Church of the Nazarene in Kona. Arrangements are by Borthwich Funeral Home, Hilo, Hawaii.
