Obit — Leandro "Lenny" Pantezzi

Graveside services will take place Feb. 28 for Leandro “Lenny” Gino Pantezzi, who died Feb. 24, 2003, at the Veterans Medical Center in Santa Monica, Calif. He was 60.
Mr. Pantezzi was born Sept. 5, 1942, at Torre del Greco, Italy. He moved to New York at the age of 8, where he and his brother, Sal, were raised by their parents, Guido and Ida Pantezzi. After school he joined the U.S. Army and served four years at Fort Bragg, N.C. He returned to New York where he met his future wife, Margaret Palmieri, and they were married June 1, 1968, at Yonkers, N.Y. In 1976 the family moved to Newhall, Calif. He was self-employed, first with a vending machine company and later as a taxi driver.
Mr. Pantezzi enjoyed being with family members and ocean fishing. He loved being with people and having fun. He will be remembered as a loving and giving father with a wonderful sense of humor. His goodness, understanding and genuine kindness will be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; brother, Sal; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Andy Adams; daughter, Caren Pantezzi; grandchildren, Kalani and Kole; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Feb. 27 at St. Clare Catholic Church, 19606 Calla Way, Canyon Country, Calif. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Diabetes Foundation. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Feb. 28 at Happy Homestead Cemetery.
