Obit — Lindsey Bruce Arnold

Memorial services will take place Oct. 20 for Lindsey Bruce Arnold, who died Oct. 13, 2002, after enduring multiple illnesses over the past five years. He was 53.

Mr. Arnold was born May 27, 1949, and was raised in Walnut Creek, Calif. After finishing high school, he attend California Polytechnic State University on a wrestling scholarship. Although he majored in ornamental horticulture, he could usually be found at the local surf spot or on the wrestling mat instead of class. In 1969 he was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was able to be a full-time minister. He served for 23 years as a congregation overseer and was able to work on many building projects including an international assignment in Ireland.

Mr. Arnold was a talented artist and musician. He loved running, rollerblading, spending time outdoors in the backcountry or on his sailboat. He had a special fondness for Lake Tahoe and the mountains and had been a resident of South Lake Tahoe for 18 years.



He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sandy Arnold; daughter and son-in-law, Gabrielle and Todd Kuchta; son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Sherry Arnold; grandson, Jacob Kuchta; brothers, Rick and Gary; and sister, Kathy. He was predeceased by both his parents.

Memorial services will begin at 3 p.m. Oct. 20 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1325 Herbert Ave., South Lake Tahoe.
