Obit — Marilyn Adams Glattly

Memorial services will take place Oct. 12 for Marilyn Adams Glattly, who died Oct. 6, 2002, at Mountain View Care Center in Carson City, Nev. She was 77.

Mrs. Glattly was born March 26, 1925, at Chicago, Ill., to William W. and Ruth Potter Adams. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1943, and from William Penn College in 1963, and taught elementary school in Searsboro and Ottumwa, Iowa, until her retirment. She married longtime Lake Tahoe resident Bob Glattly in January 1993, and moved to Lakeridge, Nev.

Mrs. Glattly was a member of the Snowcross Baptist Church in South Lake Tahoe and was dearly loved by the congregation, her many friends and her family. She always had a smile on her face and a laugh in her voice.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Glattly of Lakeridge; sisters, Jean of Edina, Minn., and Anne of Oskaloosa; three nephews and one niece.

Memorial services will begin at 11 a.m. Oct. 12 at the Lakeridge Pavilion (lower Lakeridge.) Pastor Thurston Ott will officiate.
