Obit — Paul W. Stewart

A memorial service will take place Jan. 11 for Paul W. Stewart, who died Dec. 18, 2002, at Tahoe Pacific Hospital in Sparks, Nev. He was 75.

Mr. Stewart was born Aug. 17, 1927, at Paul, Idaho, to Albert and Alma Schmidt Stewart. He moved to Reno in 1950 and resided at South Lake Tahoe from 1965 to 1978, when he relocated to Carson City. Mr. Stewart had been a business man in the Reno, Tahoe and Carson City area. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marilyn Stewart of Carson City; children, Edwin Stewart of Orem, Utah, Connie Eby of Vallejo, Calif., Beth Smith of Gardnerville, Nev., Michael Stewart of Okinawa, Japan, and Katherine Thompson of Jacks Valley, Nev.; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and one grandchild.



A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m., Jan. 11 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3460 Spruce Ave., Gardnerville.

Arrangement are by Walton’s Funeral Home in Carson City.
