Gary Vincent Sabino, 44, died Feb. 5, 2002, at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, Calif.,

Viewing will be at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 12, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville, Nev. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. at Happy Homestead Cemetery at South Lake Tahoe and a reception will take place back at St. Gall Catholic Church.

Mr. Sabino was born Dec. 9, 1957, to Vincent Sabino and Evangeline Catanio at Stockton, Calif. He graduated from Foothill High School in Sacramento, lived in Gardnerville for 11 years and South Lake Tahoe for 10 years. He worked as a kitchen manager at Grand Central Pizza in Gardnerville for 12 years. In his free time he could be found at the Carson Valley Inn and Sharkey’s playing progressive poker and enjoying his friends.

Survivors include his father, Vincent Sabino of Gardnerville; mother, Evangeline Catanio of Stockton; brother, Dennis Causing of Stockton; sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Russ Tillack of Gardnerville; sister, Wendy Day of Dixon; nieces, Ashley Tillack and Nicole Causing; nephews, Tynan Tillack and Marcus Causing; and grandnephew, Kevin Sabino.

Arrangements are by FitzHenry’s Carson Valley Funeral Home.
