Obit-Virginia Ripoli

A Mass will be celebrated Oct. 4 for Virginia Ripoli, who died Oct. 1, 2002, following at long illness. She was 71.

Mrs. Ripoli was born Jan. 6, 1931, at Pittsburg, Calif. She had been a longtime resident of South Lake Tahoe and worked for many years as secretary at St. Theresa School. She is loved and remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Roger Ripoli of South Lake Tahoe; children and their spouses, Pam and Sean McGriff of Seattle, Wash., Roger and Kate Ripoli of South Lake Tahoe, Cheryl and Gerry Ulm of Placerville, Calif., Liz and Kelly Enget of Gardnerville, Nev., and Virginia and Joe Redding of St. Mary’s, Kan.; brothers and spouses, Joseph and Jeannette of DeLallo of Post Falls, Idaho, Richard and Jeanne DeLallo of South Lake Tahoe; sister-in-law, Margie DeLallo of Sparks, Nev.; 15 grandchildren and 15 nieces and nephews.



Visitation will take place from 1 to 7 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Oct. 3, both in the McFarlane Mortuary Chapel. A Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 4 in the McFarlane Chapel, followed by interment at Happy Homestead Cemetery.
