Probert

August 26, 2021

On Thursday, August 26th after an 8-month battle with Wegener’s Disease, Darlene Ruth Probert, cherished wife of David Probert left this earth for her eternal reward and life everlasting.

Darlene and David relocated to Wexford, PA in November of 2020 after living 45 years in Stateline (Lake Tahoe) NV to be closer to family. Darlene was born in Racine, WI and raised in southern California (Valley Girl). She began her career at the Ponderosa Ranch and worked for 40 years at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe in the housekeeping and IT departments. Darlene was an avid gardener, bird watcher, line dancer and pie baker extraordinaire.

In addition to her husband, Darlene is survived by her sister Judy (Rick) Shavatt and was predeceased by her sister Barbara (Barbie) Nass. She is additionally survived by loving sisters-in-law Christine and Catherine, brothers-in-law John and his wife Lynn, Andrew and William and his partner Kelly. She is also survived by nieces and nephews Ephorm (Sydney), Michael (Natalie), Daniel, Lena, David, Will, Brittany and her son Noah.

Darlene’s enduring gifts to us are the love of family and home, a wonderful sense of humor and her appreciation of the beauty of nature and love of Nature’s God.

Family welcomes friends on Sunday August 29, from 3-7 pm at Schellhaas & Sons Funeral Home. 1600 Stone Mansion Dr. Sewickley PA. 15143 (Franklin Park/Wexford). Where a service will be held Monday at 11 am.
