Obituary: Ardeth W. Delcenio, March 15, 1931- May 17, 2016
Ardeth Delcenio, 85, (Ardy) as known to family and friends, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully of natural causes on May 17, 2016.
Ardy was born and raised in Oakland. In the early 1950s, Ardy and Dominick met at the Greyhound station where they both worked. Ardy and Dom fell in love, married and raised their family in Oakland, California. Among Ardy’s favorite pastimes were knitting, crocheting and her love of animals. Most importantly, she loved entertaining for friends and family. Later Ardy and Dom decided to retire in Lake Tahoe. They loved the lake and all the many friends they met.
She is predeceased by her loving husband Dominick Delcenio of 60 years. She is survived by her children Pennelope Selby of Discovery Bay and Patricia Troutman of San Ramon, grandchildren Nicole Tastard, Todd Troutman and Scott Sanders and great grandchildren Cole and Samantha Tastard.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life. Services will be held at McFarlane Mortuary on August 10th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A reception will follow.
