Emily Calonica passed away on February 25, 2022 during the evening hours at the Chateau in Gardnerville, Nevada. She was 96 years of age and a longtime resident of South Lake Tahoe, California.
Emily was born in War Road Minnesota on August 22,1925 to parents Jack and Emma Storey. Emily traveled to Seattle Washington to assist in the WWII effort to rivet wings on military planes where she met her husband Clyde. Emily was a a devout Christian who stayed home to raise her children.
Emily was preceded in death by her husband Clyde, father Jack, mother Emma, sisters Addie (Toots) Betty, Joy, May, and Violet, and brothers George, Lester, Jackie, and grandson Matthew.
Emily was survived by sons Gerald, Ronald, Craig, sisters Geraldine, Lois, Dorothy, Delphine, brothers Walter, Ted, daughter in laws Georgia, Martina, Shelly, numerous sister and brother in laws, grandchildren Katrina, Paul, Colby, Michael, Ellie, and six great grandchildren.
Emily loved animals but especially her dogs. It is requested if it is wished to make a tribute to her memory that donations be made to your local animal shelter.
