Obituary: Mardonna (Donna) L. Oliver

“And just at the moment when someone

at my side says: “There she is gone!”

There are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the

glad shout: “Here she comes!”

-Henry Van Dyke

In Loving Memory of Mardonna (Donna) L. Oliver

While residing in Union City, CA my precious and beautiful mother went to be with Jesus on Wed. 10/9/13 She was 94 yrs. young and was born in Milton-Freewater, Oregon Aug 17, 1919. My mother has three children…Thomas Oliver of Salem, OR: Jerald Oliver of Fremont, CA; and myself, Jacqueline B. Nielsen of So. Lake Tahoe. She also has 12 grandchildren (3 deceased), 14 great grand-children and 5 great, great grandchildren. She lived in So. Lake Tahoe from 1997 to 2008 and blessed many people while living here. At Christmastime she spent many hours preparing her very special fudge for favorite people at Raleys, Ernie’s and Bert’s and cherished neighbors and friends. She always greeted people with a huge hug and a warm smile. Prior to moving to Tahoe she retired from the State of California Bay Toll Crossings and was in charge of all toll collector personnel on all state owned bridges. Thank you my dear mommy for teaching me how to give generously, live joyfully and love with all my heart. Today, my mommy, I am thinking of you and thanking you for all the countless things you have done for me. I love you to the moon and back, my precious mommy. “Mommy, I’ll meet you under the chocolate tree in Heaven.” Always and forever, your daughter Jackie.

Regards and condolences can be sent to Jackie Nielsen, P.O. BOX 7588, So. Lake Tahoe, CA. 96158.
