Obituary: Robert “Bob” Morone

Bob passed away peacefully at home, Jan 1, 2014 with his wife at his side.

Our loss is Heaven’s gain, Bob is rejoicing with Jesus. His last words were “I’m going to see Jesus.”

Bob was born in Inkster, Mich. to Louis and Marie Morone.

Bob graduated high school in 1963, after graduation he worked in an insurance office, in 1965 he joined the Air Force where he became an Air Traffic Controller. While stationed at Vanderberg Air Force Base Ca., Bob met and married Loretta. He received his honorable discharge in Mar.1969. Shortly thereafter he started an insurance agency in Santa Maria, Ca. He sold the agency in 1978 and the family moved to So. Lake Tahoe, where he owned and operated the “ Curiosity Shoppe” until 1988, he sold that business and became a valuable part of Lorettas’ Daycare.

Bob’s love for Jesus, family, people and country touched everyone he met, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by Loretta his wife of 45 years, son Ryan Miller Morone, and wife Laura, daughter Sherry Eddy and husband Thurman, grand children, Lucas Miller, Geddy Miller, Marisa Eddy, Shayna Eddy, and Caleb Eddy. Sister, Jacki Geelhood, of Mich., brothers Gene and Mark Morone of Mich.

Memorial services will be at: South Shore Christian Assembly on Glorene Ave. Sat, Jan 11 @ 3:00 pm.
