Obituary: Susano Manglinong

August 11, 1939 – February 23, 2014

Susano Manglinong born in the Philippines on August 11, 1939, entered into rest on February 23, 2014 in Manteca, where he was affectionately surrounded by his loving family. He was 74 years old.

Mr. Manglinong is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Bien Manglinong. He has 6 loving children; Rick Manglinong (Christina), Henry Manglinong (Mendy), Vivien Brooks (Steven) Jane McGrath, Felix Manglinong and Veronica Saez (John). He was blessed with 8 grandchildren; Mindy, Kaitlin, Anna, Malia, Nichole, Kendrick, Jacob and Wyatt. In addition Susano has 3 surviving siblings; Jose Manglinong, Rosalia Cabarloc and Salvador Manglinong.

Two years ago Susano moved from the Tahoe area to Manteca to live closer to family. He was a devote catholic as he was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Tahoe and St. Lucy’s Parish in the Philippines. Susano’s true joy in life was watching his family grow. He adored his children and his grandchildren were the apple of his eye; he loved each of them unconditionally. He will be remembered as a loving husband, cherished father and an amazing grandfather. He will be missed.

P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Manglinong family. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at 1:00 to 3:00 followed by a rosary/vigil service at 3:00 p.m. both held at P.L. Fry & Son 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca. A mass will be held on Monday March 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church 525 E. North St. Manteca, Ca.
