Family and friends of Rob Albin mourn his passing late this November. Ironically, his sweet girl and canine companion, Seneca, died shortly after.
Rob graduated from Concordia College in the Bay Area and then from Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois.
In 1971 he moved to South Lake Tahoe as head of a social service ministry called Tahoe Christian Community. The goal was to assist people in need or in transition in a 24/7 community house. It was based on Christ-like values and envisioned and supported by the Reverend Donald Swanson along with Hope and St. Andrew's Lutheran churches.
A multi-talented and compassionate man, Rob spent years as a teacher, school bus driver, Wedding Officiant and most recently as director of the local chapter of "Choices Person Centered Services", serving adults with disabilities. He was also very proud to be a 32nd degree Mason.
Our beloved Rob was a creative, supportive friend, co-worker, brother and uncle. He had a heart full of love which those who knew him returned in full measure. He had a special love of children, dogs, nature and Lake Tahoe.
He is survived by his sister Carol Cooper (Mal) and nephews and nieces, Grant Gardner, Kevin Gardner, Joe Cooper, Jerry Gardner (Sylvia), and Cooper and Camila. He is also survived by a multitude of friends.
