Ruth Helene Burt

Ruth Helene Burt, 78 a resident of South Lake Tahoe since her retirement in 2001 as a Medical Assistant for Dr. Isaacson of Los Gatos, CA., passed away peacefully on January 25, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born in Oakland, California July 28, 1938.

She is survived by her son, Don Burt & daughter’s, Debbie Tuck (Larry), and Denise Burt McPherson (Bob), brother, Dr. Paul Hewitt (Linda), 7 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Orrin & Helen Hewitt and her first grandson Christopher.

Ruth had a compassion for life, helping the less fortunate and during her life volunteered as: School Nurse, Cub Scout, Brownie, Girl Scout leader, Jobs Daughters guardian and Auxiliary Assistant for various hospitals.

Ruth’s career span from being an Administrative Assistant to Medical Assistant from 1982 to 2001 and then worked at Longs/CVS and Volunteer at Barton Hospital Auxiliary until her passing.

She was and is deeply loved by her immediate and extended family and friends. She was cherished for her gentleness, unconditional love, wisdom, and compassion for life. Ruth leaves her friends, family and people she touched a lasting memory and future void in their hearts and shining example on how to live a virtuous and joyous life.
