Our hearts are heavy as we announce the world lost a beautiful and kind soul.

Sandy Ray was born on July 6, 1955. She is survived by her children Amber Westbrook, Joel Salinas III and Guillermo Salinas; grandchildren Jordan Salinas and Dominic Herron; great grandchildren Mia Salinas, Kitana Salinas, and Eziekel Salinas; and by her mother Shirley Ann Walton. Sandy Ray, “The Pillow Lady”, has passed to be re-united with her loved ones and beloved pets. My mother was loved and respected by everyone who was close to her and had the privilege to know her.

Sandy hand quilted pillows for more than 20 years in South Lake Tahoe, and was a vendor at many craft fairs. She used her homemade treasures to spread joy and love, both in her family and her community. She loved children and animals, they were her most favorite. Sandy was always finding ways to make a difference in the lives of those she cared about and in the world as a whole.

-Until we meet again, you will be missed and in our hearts.
