Obituary: Anita Gonzales

A memorial service for Karen Anita Gonzales, 61, a Carson City resident for the past three years, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday at Walton’s.

Mrs. Gonzales died Jan. 6, 2001, at her home. She was born July 25, 1939, in Ashland, Ky., to Roy and Hattie Howard Taylor.



Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Lodi, Calif.

Mrs. Gonzales was a homemaker.



She served in the U.S. Army for two years.

Among her survivors are her husband Albino of Carson City; sons John, Ray and Steven Hetu of Stockton, Calif.; daughter Simone Hetu of Carson City; brother Ken Taylor of Ashland and Roy Taylor of Salinas, Calif.; sister Peggy Hankins of Ashland and eight grandchildren.

Cremation will be at Walton’s Sierra Crematory.

Walton’s Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
