OBITUARY: Annetta Doreign (Olsen) Appley

Annetta Doreign (Olsen) Appley was born in Trinidad, Colorado on February 18, 1918. She passed away on March 20, 2010 after a long and courageous fight with Cancer. She was 92 years old. The family moved to Long Beach, Ca around 1923.

Annetta has been a resident of Tahoe since 1964. She lived at the old Kent Motel and Bavarian Village before buying her mobile home in 1973, where she lived for the last 37 years.

Annetta has worked at Harvey’s, Harrahs, Horizon, Caesar, Paul Kennedy’s Steak House and Nevada Trust and Deed.

Annetta loved her horse, her poodles, dog Kiley, dancing and music. She played the violin and organ. She also loved her home and entertaining.

Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at Sierra Community Church, 1165 Sierra Blvd. South Lake Tahoe, Ca on June 19th at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome. For Information please call 775-588-1450

California lifts virus stay home orders, curfew statewide


SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California lifted regional stay-at-home orders across the state Monday in response to improving coronavirus conditions, returning the state to a system of county-by-county restrictions, state health officials announced.
