Obituary: Ben Boldt

A memorial service of life will take place Dec. 27 for Benjamin Christopher Boldt, who died Dec. 21, 2003, at his home in South Lake Tahoe. He was 49.

Ben was born March 25, 1954, at San Rafael, Calif., and had been a resident of Lake Tahoe since 1957. He attended local schools and was in one of the first classes of students at St. Theresa. He was a craftsman and worked locally for South Shore Glass and Door. He was known for his kind and loving nature. He could always make people smile and laugh and he was a loyal friend. Ben was a man who gathered many true friends. He was a man of compassion, caring and giving. For those who met him, he touched their lives forever.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Barbara and Jerry Barber; grandmother, Ree Barber; brothers, David, Ed and Alan; stepbrothers, Rocky and Steve; stepsister, Jandi; sisters-in-law, Nancy, Sher and Jan; nephews, Jason, Josh, Derek, Brandon, Daniel and Isaac; nieces, Shelly and Sara; and his special companion for seven years, Sheree, who will always remember him as the most genuine and caring person she has met in her lifetime.

A memorial service of life will begin at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 27 at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Family and friends are invited to come and share in his special memorial.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made the American Heart Association or St. Jude’s Hospital.
