Obituary – Brian Richard Burns

Visitation will take place April 20 and services are scheduled April 23 for Brian Richard Burns, who ended his life April 14, 2004, after 19 years. Brian had been a resident of Zephyr Cove and South Lake Tahoe all his life.

Brian was born May 30, 1984. He graduated from high school and from Fouts Military Academy with honors. Brian always took pride in any job he ever had. He got his first job with Kevin and Judy McCartin at 7-Eleven and worked as a welder for Alpine Metals. He loved snowboarding, skateboarding, wakeboarding and skim boarding at the ocean. He loved the ocean.

Brian is survived by his fiancee, Jessica Deyerle; mother, Diane E. Sutton and Kim Willcox; father, Randolph R. Burns and Karen Mackey-Burns; godparents, Steve Sutton and Mary Sutton; sisters, Leigha Sutton, Alicia Mackey, Bridgette Mackey and Robyn Mackey. He grew up with the Sutton family children who are Carson, Marie, Angie, Maryann, Miles, Bethie, Rick and Jasmine, all of Sacramento.



Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. April 20 at McFarlane Mortuary. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will begin at 11 a.m. April 23 at Sierra Community Church, followed by interment at Happy Homestead Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations in Brian’s memory may be made to Sierra Community Church for the wonderful services they offer.
