Obituary: Calvin Paul Redman

Memorial services will take place Saturday, March 10 for Calvin Paul Redman, who died Feb. 27, 2001, following a long struggle with cancer. He was 55.

Originally from the Akron, Ohio, area, he attended LeTourneau University at Longview, Texas, where he received a degree in aeronautical engineering. After competing college he served in the U.S. Army for six years, some of which was in Vietnam. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Following his Army service Mr. Redman returned to the Akron area for several years during which time he owned and operated a print shop. After moving to California in the late 1970s he worked his way up to management in the automobile sales industry. He left the automobile business for several years to own and operate an embroidery and screen printing business in South Lake Tahoe before returning to automobile sales two years ago. He will always be remembered with much love by his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Deborah Redman of South Lake Tahoe; and children, Samantha Redman, Matthew Hock, Stephen Hock, Dawn Hock and Jennifer Hock, all of South Lake Tahoe.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10 at McFarlane Mortuary, 887 Emerald Bay Road.
