Candria Johnson Ackermann

May 22, 1950 – May 22, 2011

After a 10 month battle with cancer, Candy passed on to her next adventure on her 61st birthday. Candy was born in San Francisco, CA and her family later moved to Napa, CA where she could better enjoy her love of horses. While visiting Lake Tahoe in 1978, she met the love of her life,

Bill Ackermann, and moved to Lake Tahoe in October of that year. Candy worked as an office manager for Tahoe Family Physicians, an office manager for M&M Rentals, and 15 years as a medical transciptionist for the El Dorado County Department of Mental Health. When her position was eliminated with the county in 2008, Candy retired to spend time

with Bill and their dogs, Josie and Sting.

Candy enjoyed participating in dog sports, camping, photography and attending the Monterey Blues Festivals with her girlfriends. But, most of all, she loved raising her grandson and most precious treasure, Dustin. She loved the time spent with many friends and will truly be missed by all that knew her. She was definitely a gift to us all.
