Obituary — Cecil Challice Wilson

Memorial services will take place Nov. 9 for Cecil Challice Wilson, who died Oct. 26, 2002, at his home in South Lake Tahoe. He was 80.

Mr. Wilson was born May 30, 1922, at Los Angeles, Calif., and had been a 25-year resident of South Lake Tahoe. He was a retired sheet metal worker for the city of Los Angeles, where he worked for 31 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, while wintering in Mexico. His quiet dignity and honesty will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janet Wilson of South Lake Tahoe; daughters, Lynn Shaw of Covina, Calif., and Lee Flinn of South Lake Tahoe; sister, Bernice Thacher of Cambria, Calif., niece, Susan Thacher; grandchildren, Steven Shaw, Samantha Gudino, Challice Shaw and Ryan Shaw; and great-grandchildren, Alexandria Shaw, Braeden Shaw and McKenna Shaw.



Memorial services will begin at 2 p.m. Nov. 9 in the McFarlane Mortuary Chapel.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Barton Memorial Hospice, 2092 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150.
