OBITUARY: Charlene Wightman

January 30, 1956 – July 14, 2012

Charlene Wightman, the mother of two loving children, died of a terminal illness at Barton Memorial Hospital on July 14.

Charlene was born to Tony and Lynn Palemo on January 30, 1956 and spent most of her life in Santa Cruz, CA. She moved to South Lake Tahoe in 1987, where she met her husband of almost 25 years, Leeman Wightman.

Charlene was known for her delicious baked goods and home made meals, as well as her heartwarming smile and hospitality. She touched the lives of many people.

Surviving are Charlene’s children Chelsea and Joey Wightman, and her husband Leeman Wightman. As well as her brothers Tony and Mick Palermo, and her father Anthony Palermo.

There will be a Celebration of Life gathering for all to attend at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 1041 Lyons Avenue, on Friday July 27th at 1:00 p.m.

“I have lost a friend, but you will forever be with me. Thinking of you will be easy, but heartache will never go away.”
