Obituary: David Douglas Taylor

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Sept. 27 for David Douglas Taylor, who died of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident Sept. 22, 2000, at Eagle Canyon, Nev., in rural Washoe County. He was 33.

Mr. Taylor was born March 29, 1967, at South Lake Tahoe to Leonard N. and Diane Franchini Taylor. He had been a resident of Sun Valley, Nev., for 15 years and had previously lived and attended schools at South Lake Tahoe. A meat manager at Albertson’s in Reno, he was an avid motor cross rider.

Survivors include his parents of Sparks, Nev.; fiance, Shelly Fisher of Sun Valley; brothers, Michael Taylor of Auburn, Calif., Jason Taylor and Jeffrey Taylor, both of Sparks; grandmothers, Mary Taylor of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Lucille Franchini of Sparks; two aunts, two uncles and six cousins.



Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27 at St. Therese of the Little Flower Church in Reno, 875 E. Plumb Lane. Private inurnment will follow.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Nevada Humane Society, 200 Kresge Lane, Reno, Nev. 89431.
