Obituary: Delberta "Debbie" (Dinkins) Berry

Services are pending for Delberta “Debbie” (Dinkins) Berry, who died of cancer June 29, 2000, at U.C. Davis Medical Center, following a very short illness. She was 62.

Mrs. Berry was born Jan. 21, 1938, at Modesto, Calif., and was a 25-year resident of South Lake Tahoe. She had been a waitress at Harrah’s Tahoe and Horizon Casino Resort before retiring two years ago to take care of her sick husband. She was a loving wife and always full of sunshine.

Survivors include her husband, Matthew Berry of South Lake Tahoe; daughter, Debbie Gillespie of Spanish Fork, Utah; sister, Claudine Coronado of Ceres, Calif., grandchildren, Alysia and Jennifer of South Fork; nieces and nephews, Michelle, Kelli, Christina and Kenneth; and her four cats.
