Obituary- Dennis Andrew Dahl

A memorial Mass will be celebrated Feb. 27 for Dennis Andrew Dahl, who died Jan. 16, 2002, at Barton Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility. He was 75.

Mr. Dahl was born Dec. 22, 1926, at Berkeley, Calif., to Martin W. and Gertrude V. Dahl. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School at Berkeley and Mt. Diablo College at Pleasant Hill. Calif., and served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific and Korea. A 30-year resident of South Lake Tahoe, he worked for Pacific Bell in Oakland, Calif., and South Lake Lake for 38 years before retiring in 1986.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lynette Dahl of South Lake Tahoe; son, Randy Dahl of South Lake Tahoe; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Lynn Dahl of South Lake Tahoe; daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Jay Crooks of Benicia, Calif.; grandchildren, Erik Dahl, Maddie Dahl, Sean Crooks and Kayla Crooks; and great-grandchildren, Emmy and Jessica Dahl. He was predeceased by his parents and grandson, Ian Dahl.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated at noon Feb. 27 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, South Lake Tahoe.

Arrangements are under the direction of Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society in Carson City, Nev.
